MaxBimmer Mid-Night Cruise 2014
MaxBimmer's Mid-Night Cruise took place last friday, at you guessed it, mid-night. Well shortly after mid-night, but close enough. The cars started to trickle in as the sun went down, by the end of the night there were easily 50+ cars. I managed to take a few shots throughout the night including a lineup of e9x M3 members from M3post and a line-up of all generation of M3s from the first gen e30 to the new M4.

Ertefa's back - Will it last?
Fans from throughout our city finally got what they've been asking for since the beginning of the season, Ertefa's back. This mid-July start is a little later than I'm sure most would have liked as organizers most likely had trouble securing a venue for what has grown into GTA's largest automotive meet..car show? Line-ups stretched onto main roads and backed up traffic causing delays for local residents, not to mention the noise and attention seeking behaviour. I don't believe there was anything too out of hand but with a crowd this large, it must be difficult to control.
UPDATE: It's official, Ertefa will not be taking place next week:

Event Coverage: Bimmercruise 2014 Track Photos
Bimmercruise 2014 took place this past Saturday, known as the largest BMW show in Canada, took place at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park's newly renovated Driver Development track. The new track and facilities has upped the bar once again for race tracks in the GTA. Being more of a track enthusiast myself, I took more shots of cars doing what they do best. The first part of this coverage is dedicated to those who aren't afraid to drive their cars how they were meant to be driven.

BMW Photoshoot - 2 S65s, 2 S62s, 2 S54s
Summer is finally here in Toronto, and everyone is out and enjoying it to the fullest. I don't blame them after the winter we had. A few good friends got together for a drive and some group photos this weekend, taking advantage of the weather, but more importantly because we wanted to drive our cars and let the gear heads in us out while spending it with good company.

Event Coverage: Eurocharged & BMW True North Season Opener & BBQ / Dyno
Just as we all thought winter would never end, mother nature decided to show some signs of spring. This worked out well for Eurocharged & BMW True North as they decided to delay their season opener a week hoping mother nature would co-operate and she did. I arrived a bit late, but there still was a a sizable crowd in attendance, I did however miss the exotics that passed by earlier. But none the less, still lots to see here...

BMWs of SEMA 2013
With loads of coverage coming in from all directions and filling up your news feed, we decided to take a more focused approach and put together a handful of pictures based on a few themes.
There is so much to see, there is no way to cover it all. Today's post hopes to cover the majority of BMWs at the show.
Starting with the popular E92 M3s, which seem to have dominated the show. Let's start with this Liberty Walk, matte pink wrapped wide body M3 all aired out at the Air Lift booth.

Event Coverage: Bimmercruise 2013 by Derek Bartolo
It's that time of year again! For Bimmer fans, that means the largest BMW and MINI Car Show in Canada. Bimmercruise has become famous for it's focus on BMWs and for the last two years this formula has included an Auto-Slalom followed by lapping on Canadian Tire Motorsport Park's Driver Development Track surrounded by a grand spectacle of BMW's finest cars competing for one of the many trophies. You won't find more BMW classes at any other event in the GTA, everyone has a chance to take home some gold. Photos were kindly submitted by Derek Bartolo.

Event Coverage: Saturns Drives - Cars, Coffee & Jets - Hosted by SkyService at Toronto Int'l Airport
Saturn's Drives hosted a fabulous private 'invite only' Cars, Coffee & Jets event this Civic holiday long weekend. Saturn Ador-Dionisio and his wife May is to thank for organizing this special event which brought together a great group of like minded individuals and GTA enthusiasts for another one of his well known 'drives'. The turnout was great and the weather held off, allowing the convoy to make it safely to Toronto's International Airport, where SkyService Airlines is located.

Event Coverage: Bimmercruise 2012 & BMWCC Autoslalom - Aug. 26 @Mosport DDT
Bimmercruise 2012 took place this year at Mosport's Driver Development Track in conjunction with the BMW Club of Canada's monthly auto-slalom event. Combined this was the largest and most exciting BMW event in the Toronto area. Bimmercruise started back in 2000 when a group of close friends came up with the idea to start a BMW only car show geared towards BMW enthusiast and it's grown every year since then.

Event Coverage: Drift Mania Canadian Championship Round #3 @Mosport DDT (Part 2 - Drivers & Finals)
To close off our edition of Drift Mania's event coverage, we plan to highlight the drivers and some tandem competition action. In this competition drivers were paired up and had two runs that were judged to see who moved on. Each driver would take a turn in the lead position. The goal of the driver was to set a line and pace that the other driver would have a hard time keeping up while clipping each clipping point and holding the drift. The second car got points for following as close to the lead car as possible, bonus points for love taps, while following the leaders line and holding the drift.

Event Coverage: CSCS Round #3 - July 15 @ Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (aka Mosport DDT)
Anyone who've been to a CSCS event knows how much there is to see and do, no other event packs so much automotive bless into a single day. There are many other great Time Attack, Drifting and a Show & Shine events, but none in a single day at the same venue. You'll never be bored while cooling down after your session or waiting for judges to complete their tally. But with all this going on at once it is also impossible to catch everything that happens, which means it is a good thing that there were many bloggers and photographers littering the grounds. Enough talk, have a look thru my lens...

Event Coverage: Drift Mania Canadian Championship Round #3 @Mosport DDT (Part 1 - Qualifying)
The Drift Mania Canadian Champion series made it's way to Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (aka Mosport DDT) for the only event of the season that will be less than an hour away from the GTA. It was my first time attending a DMCC event, I have to say it was a blast! There wasn't a better way to spend Canada Day. The turnout was huge, I don't think I have ever seen the DDT track packed the way it was on Sunday. The DMCC crew were well organized and I'm glad to see events of this calibre on our side of the border. I've seen our local motorsport scene grow over the years, but always wished that one day we'd start to see some high quality drift events that would put up some competition to the ones we see from down south. This summer is without a doubt the most exciting one for any car enthusiast out there as the sport grows and it's only July!
